THON Hair Auction RSVP 2023
Each year, students raise money for THON and DuBois holds a send off dinner and hair auction to wish our dancers well and give them a final fundraising push. We hope to see you on campus on Wednesday, February 8th at 6:00pm.
How can you participate, you ask?
BEFORE THE AUCTION:
Members of our community will be getting their hair cut to raise money for the organization. You can bid on each person’s hair and help them reach their individual goals and contributing to the campus goal of a $25,000 donation!

About THON:
THON is Penn State’s student-run philanthropic organization that raises money for the Four Diamonds fund for pediatric cancer research.
Our 2023 Donors are (donors will be added through January 16th, 2023).
Gaven Wolfgang, current PSUD student and one of this year's THON dancer, has set his goal at $200 for up to 13 inches, PLUS another $500 to shave the rest to total $3100.
Eamon Jamieson, current PSUD student and another one of this year's THON dancer, has set his goal at $150 per inch up to three inches, or $1000 total for a buzz cut.
Marilla Ley heard about the event from her uncle Brian Tokarcik, PSU professor and ongoing THON supporter, and decided to cut two inches of hair at $200 each - totaling her goal at $400.
Ray Cunningham, a client and superfan of our event partner, The Beauty Bar has attended this event and donated in years prior, and has decided to participate this year with a goal of $100 per inch up to 7 inches of hair, AND the same for his beard, making his total $1400.
Louise Bennett, current PSUD student and Student Government president has agreed to donate up to 6 inches at $200 per inch, making her goal $1200.
Abby Freemer, a local middle school student, is a huge supporter of THON and will be also be cutting up to 6 inches but at a whopping $300 per inch. This will raise $1800 should she meet her goal.
Elise DuFour, former Penn State DuBois student and 2022 THON Dancer, is coming back to visit and raise money for her original THON crew.
Lastly, Josh Rishel, friend and colleague of numerous of the club members, has well over 20 inches of hair, but has agreed to cut just under half of it at $200 per inch, up to 10 inches.
